Protecting your Points form Peril
By: CHANCER
In an attempt to out-rhyme Polarity Geek, this tip could also be called, "Beware of Tower Power". :)
Okay, the tip: Points, in the form of Towers, are sometimes hard to come by… especially as the skill of the players gets better.
While you can place Towers near your opponents pieces in an effort to disrupt their play, placing them too close puts them at serious risk. If your opponent messes up and causes pieces to attach to your Tower, the resolution of the capture might result in your loss of these points.
Unless I have a specific reason to place a Tower close to my opponents pieces, I like to place them WAY out of harms way… even out at the outer edge of the circle… where they will stay nice and safe.
Rock on, Polarity!

I agree with Squeegy, I play aggressively like that too. If you can pull it off, it is much more effective than simply hiding your points on the side out of harms way.
I find that it usually depends on the individual game. I put some towards the outside to protect the points, especially towers of 3 or greater(if any). But like Squeegy, I find that placing them near your opponent can definitely be strategically rewarding as well.
I like to be a little riskier and place my points close to opponent foundations because they have a lot of force and it is easy to block them.
Risky? yes. but it makes the game a little more intersting.
I gave this posting a 10, because points matter in this game. Sure, placing a small Tower near an opponents solo foundation disc can cause them great grief, but use caution!

I usually use small towers (2 or 3 discs) for offensive play. Their field is not extremely strong yet, so placing them is relatively easy. Large towers I put safe because they represent a lot of points and if you try to place them offensively, you’re likely to end up causing faults (because of the strong field).
