Expand your playing area
By: Furrball
Don’t forget that legal play only requires the disk to be touching the circle to be in play. If you start to run out of space or are trying to stall, you can play disks that on the border. Be very careful not to push any completly outside of course.
This is also a great place to put any towers that you don’t want anything to happen to. Mostly out, but still in.

I somehow see placing a tower on the outside to go to waste, because if you find that your opponent has an area where there are many foundation discs, that placing a tower near them disturbs any chance of putting a leaner to those foundation discs, and any attempt to do so will most likely fail.
Yes, playing almost outside the line can be a great place to play.
For safe point-keeping, placing Towers as far away from other discs can be a great thing.
Be careful, though, because discs at the edge are more easily forced out of bounds… either by accident or on purpose.

Very good tip. I often forget that you can push your discs to the very edge of the circle. This can be a good strategy when you are tryin to unload some discs from your hand and need area away from your opponent to do so. Until I read this tip, in fact, I never used to play towards the edge. Now I will do so when it is necessary.
About the placing towers on the edge: This can be a decent strategy in some instances, and does provide protection for your points, but I prefer to use my towers more aggressively.
